I'm going to assume the equation is x^2 a^2 + 3x a^2 + 2a^2
You factor out the common term, which is a^2.
You would then get a^2(x^2+3x+2) as the answer.
Factor out (x^2+3x+2)
a^2(x+1)(x+2)
