1/12 tank / 1/4 hour
=(1/12)/(1/4) tank / hour
=(1/12)*(4/1) tank / hour
=1/3 tank/hour
1 tank will take
1 tank /(1/3)tank/hour
=1/(1/3) hours
=3 hours
