The linear equation is:
y = mx +b, since the slope m is given (=7), the equation becomes:
y = 7x + b. We know that this function passes through a point with coordinates(3,2). In order to calculate b in y=7x+b, plug x and y by their respective values:

2= 7(3) + b

2= 21 +b and b = -19 . Hence the final equation is y = 7x - 19 (answer c)

y=mx+b is the slope intercept form where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept.

We are given that the slope is 7 so:

y=7x+b, using point (3,2) we can solve for b

2=7(3)+b

2=21+b

-19=b so the line is:

y=7x-19
