Deforestation is the removal of trees and plant life from a given area. with the absence of plant life comes the absence of photo-synthases. This causes a drop in the production of oxygen.

Answer: The word deforestation can be defined as the cutting of trees in huge amounts. The oxygen cycle gets disturbed by the cutting of trees.

Explanation:

The trees absorbs the carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and releases oxygen into the atmosphere. This is how both the carbon dioxide and oxygen level are maintained in the environment.

If the number of trees will be less then more amount of carbon dioxide will be found in the environment and oxygen will be less.
