A solution of sucrose in water has a boiling point that is HIGHER THAN 100 DEGREE CELCIUS. Impurities in water usually raise the boiling point of water making the water to boil at an higher temperature than 100 degree Celsius. The raise in the boiling point of water depends on the concentration of sucrose that is added to the water.
