As WW1 dragged on, the Russian people were starving (because all the food was used too feed the soldiers) they had less of everything (clothing, also needed for the army, goods were limited, every-day things were disseappering)

As the Russians were tired of starving, losing, they decided to topple the Cesars and to embrace Communism, which had promised to bring the war to an end

hope this helps
