d=vt+(v+12)t
d=vt+vt+12t
d=2vt+12t
d=2t(v+6), and we are told that d=232 and t=2
2(2)(v+6)=232
4(v+6)=232
v+6=58
v=52
So the slower car is travelling at 52 mph and the faster car is traveling at 64 mph.
