Gastroesophageal Reflux Diseases or GERD is a disorder of the muscle between the esophagus and the stomach called lower esophageal sphincter. This can be treated by merely changing to a healthier lifestyle. The nurse can incorporate interventions like advising the patient not to lie down immediately after meals, help him develop his diet plan or monitor his vital signs and daily medication.
