What does it mean when they ask me what is Angela’s unit rate

Explanation:

If your question has information about two different kinds of numbers, such as $ as in pay or cost, hours, number of items, etc. You probably have info on a specific situation like $36 for 6 items; or $20 for 10 hours.

You can write that info as a ratio which looks like a fraction.

Then to find the unit rate you are trying to get an equivalent fraction that has a 1 on the bottom.

You can do this by reducing the fraction, or just by dividing the two numbers.

Ex Given: $36 for 6 items

36/6

=6/1

Unit rate is $6/item
