write given equation in slope intercept form

4y = 5x - 12
y = (5/4)x - 3 so the slope of the line is 5/4.

so the equation we want has also slope 5/4 because it is parallel to given line.

y - y1 = (5/4)(x - x1) y1 = -15 and x1 = 0 :-

y + 15 = (5/4) x

y = (5/4)x - 15 is the required equATION

changing to standard form we get

4y =
5x - 60

5x - 4y = 60

5x-4y=12
4y = 5x - 12
y = 5/4x - 3
slope = 5/4

b = -15

so equation
y = 5/4x - 15
