P=3.86n
P=Price
N=Number of pens you buy
The price depends on the number of pens that you buy. Each pen costs $3.86, so you will have to multiply the price of each pen by the number of pens that you buy and it will give you your price to pay.

The last Equation is Correct:
P = 3.86n
Meaning N as the number of sets and P as the total price of the # of sets times the unit price.
