It is given 7p+9r =9

Rearranging the equation

\begin{gathered} Subtract\text{ 9r from both sides} \\ 7p=9-9r \\ 7p=9(1-r)\text{ (took common factor 9 outside)} \\ \text{Divide both sides by 7} \\ p=(9)/(7)(1-r) \end{gathered}

So p =9(1-r)/7
