2x+7=12x-6 subtract 12x from both sides

-10x+7=-6 subtract 7 from both sides

-10x=-13 divide both sides by -10

x=13/10

x=1.3

Hey!

Let's start by writing the problem:

2x+7=12x-6
Subtract 7 from both sides.

2x+7-7=12x-6-7

2x=12x-13
Subtact 12x from both sides.

2x-12x=12x-13-12x

-10x=-13
Divide both sides by -10.

(-10x)/(-10)=(-13)/(-10)

x=(13)/(10)

Let me know if you have any questions regarding this problem!
Thanks!
