To find area, do length times width. 48 inches into feet is 4 feet and 36 inches into feet is 3 feet as 1 foot is 12 inches. Then to find area do 4 times 3 and you get 12 feet squared.

Answer: 1728 square feet.

Explanation:

We know that the area of a rectangle is given by :-

\text{Area=length*width}

Given: The length of the poster = 48 inches

The width of the poster = 36 inches

Now, the area of the poster is given by :-

\text{Area=}48*36\\\\\Rightarrow\ \text{Area=}1728\text{ inches}^2

Hence, the area of the poster is 1728 square feet.
