How does solving an inequality compare to solving an equation?​

[] With an inequality, there is usually more than one solution. With an equation, there are usually only one to two solutions.

[] When you divide or multiply by a negative number in an inequality you have to change the sign, this does not happen in an equation.

[] They will also, of course, have different signs. An equation will only use = while an inequality may use <, ≤, >, and ≥

[] They are similar in the fact that what you do to one side you must do to the other.
