y = -5x + 11
y = -5(7) + 11
y = -35 + 11
y = -24

Plug in x = 7. Then use the order of operations (PEMDAS) to simplify
y = 11 - 5*x
y = 11 - 5*7 .... x has been replaced with 7 (since x = 7 is given)
y = 11 - 35
y = -24
