The bird resting on the door knob was apparently angry. It flew off the handle when I needed to get inside. Which of the following correctly explains the pun in this sentence and the word or words on which it is built? Apparently angry—the word apparently introduces some doubt into the scene described Flew off the handle—birds fly and flying off the handle is an expression for getting angry Get inside—the bird is on the door knob because it also wants to get in doors Resting on the door—birds are almost never described as resting but are considered quite active

I am 99.99% sure it's flew off the handle because when some one is angry people say "that person just flew off the handle" that would be the play on words because they described the bird as angry.
