The length of a rectangular garden is 25 feet longer than its width. if the area of the garden is 186 square feet, what are the dimensions of the garden?

A = L * W
A = 186
L = W + 25

W(W + 25) = 186
W^2 + 25W - 186 = 0 <===
(W - 6)(W + 21) = 0

W - 6 = 0
W = 6

W + 21 = 0
W = -21.....not this one...extraneous solution

W = 6 <==== width is 6 ft
L = W + 25 = 6 + 25 = 31 <=== length is 31 ft
