Using the Pythagorean Theorem, find the length of a leg of a right triangle if the other leg is 8 feet long and the hypotenuse is 10 feet long.

Hi!

Let's call the unknown leg as x. By the Pythagorean Theorem:
10² = x² + 8²
100 = x² + 64
100 - 64 = x²
36 = x²
x = √36
x = 6
