After the party, 3 1⁄4 pecan pies remained. The next day, Edward's family ate 1 1⁄4 of a pie. How many pecan pies were left?

2 pies remain because 3.25-1.25=2

when I work with fraction I draw the picture then mark out what it says is gone and was ate or if I don't draw it I will change the fraction into a decimal

I hoped this helped you
