The right answer is "join, or die"

The cut snake was a political drawing (attributed to Benjamin Franklin - "Join or Die" - originally used during the war between France and the American-American Indians, was published again to encourage the British colonies in North America against the domination of The Pennsylvania gazette of May 9, 1754, with the abbreviations of some of these colonies.
