so, if w=width
given, width=9cm
P=12.6+2w
P=12.6+2(9)
P=12.6+18
P=30.6cm
the perimeter is 30.6cm

P=12.6+2w
Plug in the width, which is 9 cm into the equation
P=12.6+(2*9)
P=12.6+18
P=30.6 cm
