One knows that something or someone is living if it has the characteristic to grow and change, reproduce, breath and have the process of metabolism, being able to perform homeostasis. The prokaryotic structures that are involved in carrying out the reproduction is the nucleus while other organelles may perform for other functions such as breathing and different growth and changes.
