The vapor pressure decreases, the boiling point increases and the freezing point decreases.

The added solute, sodium chloride, is nonvolatile; whereas, the solute that is present is pure. The addition of the solute causes the state of disorder of the water molecules to decrease, this causes a shift in the physical properties of the solute.
