The correctly punctuated answer choice is the second option:
"Zora has a family emergency in the middle of week 2. She sends an email, therefore, to her instructor and advisor."
Remember that there are almost always commas after (and sometimes before, during a pause in speech) conjunctive adverbs, such as therefore, however, furthermore, thus, etc.
