  • Second black: Tripartite Pact
  • First blank: Pact of Steel

The Pact of Steel was a military and political agreement reached in May 1939 aiming to establish an alliance between Fascist Italy and Nazi Germany. Japan was left out of the pact this time, although it was included on the initial draft.

The Tripartite Pact or Pact of Berlin was signed in September 1940 by Italy, Germany and Japan and constituted the unification of the Axis Forces that would confront the allied powers during WWII.
