$\displaystyle x^2+3x-10=0\\\\x_(1,2)= (-3\pm √(3^2-4\cdot 1\cdot (-10)) )/(2\cdot 1)= (-3\pm √(49) )/(2)= (-3\pm7)/(2)=2, (-5)$

$x^2+3x-10=0\\ x^2-2x+5x-10=0\\ x(x-2)+5(x-2)=0\\ (x+5)(x-2)=0\\ x=-5 \vee x=2$
