When a client is taking levodopa, the nurse caution the client to avoid taking other medicines (especially over the counter e.g. herbal or vitamin supplements) unless prescribed by a doctor. Also, you won’t necessarily stop taking levodopa without first checking with your doctor. There could be side effects related to administering levodopa which includes: drowsiness, uncontrollable movements, vision irregularities, unusual thoughts or behavior, etc.
