Besides putting more money and british armies into the war effort, what ultimately allowed the british to defeat the french in the french and indian war?

Britain with William Pitt who was in charge of the war effort, had a plan to defeat France by building a vast British empire that would control colonies that produce sugar, textiles, metals and other goods. Based on this plan, William Pitt decided not to use British troops in Europe, but help their allies to build up their armies to defeat France.
