The Zagwe, an East African dynasty who reigned from the early twelfth century to 1270, produced massive churches that overthrew the Aksonites in 1150. They are said to be the elite class ruler from highlands and claimed to be descendants of Moses. The social system is much like the monarchy form of government where the first social class function is to rule the country and at the same time protect the people while the second class does the labor.
