i think its the first choice
9+1/2x=35 is the original equation if you translate the words, but 9+x divided by 2=35 is equivalent

9+x÷2=35

9+1/2x=35
Subtract 9 to each side
9+1/2x-9=35-9
1/2x=26
Multiply 2 to each side
