Le chaterliers principle is a chemical principle which states that the disturbance added to a reaction is counteracted by a shift in the equilibrium such that the reaction is still able to achieve equilibrium. In this case, if in the equilibrium reaction, the iron chloride is a reactant, then the direction of the equilibrium is shifted to the right side while, on the other hand, if iron chloride is one of the products, then the shift of the equilibrium is to the left side. This principle is applicable to determine the effect of disturbance to the production of more products or inversely, the reactants, heat or decrease in temperature.
