This can be set as a simple ratio problem. If the plane is traveling 400 miles in 1 hour, then we can find out how many hours it takes to travel 3,000 miles by doing 3,000/400. This gives us an answer of
7.5 hours
to go 3,000 miles.
Hope this helps!
