8x - 2y = -2....multiply by -1
6x - 2y = -3
--------------
-8x + 2y = 2 (result of multiplying by -1)
6x - 2y = -3
--------------add
-2x = -1
x = 1/2

6x - 2y = -3
6(1/2) - 2y = -3
3 - 2y = -3
-2y = -3 - 3
-2y = -6
y = 6/2
y = 3

solution is (1/2,3)

subtract those 2 equations
2x = 1
x = 1/2

8(1/2) - 2y = -2
4 - 2y = -2
2y = 6
y = 3

solution (1/2, 3)
answer is A. (1/2, 3)
