First convert your values to the units you want, so 1km^3 = (100,000)^3 = 1x10^15 cm^3.
1.2x10^9 kg = 1.2x10^12 g.
Density = mass / volume.
= 1.2x10^12 / 1x10^15= 1.2x10^-3 g/cm^3.

1km³=1000m*1000m*1000m=100000cm*100000cm*100000cm=10¹⁵cm³
1,2*10⁹kg=1200*10⁹g=1,2*10¹²g
1,2*10¹²g/10¹⁵cm³=1,2g/10³cm³=
0,0012g/cm³
