So you would start off with the exponent, simplifying the second portion to (sin^2 θ + 2sinθcosθ + cos^2 θ)

This can be further simplified with trig identities because sin^2 θ+ cos^2 θ=1

You now have (sin
θ - cosθ) - 2sinθcosθ -1 which is Option 4( just in a different order)
