1. The policy B. Isolationism. The US stayed out of the war at first because it "isolated" itself and let the European countries deal with the Axis Powers.

2. The policy of A. Appeasement. Great Britain and France did not want to have to go to war with Germany after just fighting World War I so they let Germany have what it wanted. (They "appeased" Germany)
