Gout is a kind of arthritis. High levels of uric acid in the body are the reason for developing of gout. In order to provide education regarding risk factors for gout the nurse should mention the following risk factors:
1. Eating a diet that's high in meat and sugar increases the risk of gout.

ntreated high blood pressure and chronic conditions such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, and heart and kidney diseases also increase the risk.

Family history of gout.
4. Gout occurs more often in men, primarily because women tend to have lower uric acid levels.
