There are 12 appetizers; 4 are soups, 6 contain meat, and 2 do not. In how

many different orders can 3 different appetizers be brought to the table?

There can be two orders because after that you wouldn't have 3 different appetizers, only two.

72 different orders, each soup can have a different meat and other* so take 4* 6* 3 because that is how many different combanations you can do
