Your answer is +1. I.e. Add 1 to each side
x^(2) -2x=10 \\(x^(2) -2x)+1=(10)+1 \\ x^2-2x+1=11 \\ (x-1)^2=11 \\ x-1= √(11) \\ x=√(11)+1
