They are both likely to happen (even or odd)

1) Considering that 1 dice has the following numbers:

1 -2 -3 -4 -5 -6 six numbers

3 odd numbers: 1, 3, 5 three numbers

3 even numbers: 2, 4, 6 three numbers

2) Then we can write:

\begin{gathered} P(\text{even)}=(3)/(6)=(1)/(2)\text{ or 50\%} \\ P(\text{odd)}=(3)/(6)=(1)/(2)\text{ or 50\%} \end{gathered}

3) Hence, there are equal chances to get an even and an odd number when we roll a dice (six-sided number cube).
