slope of KL is - 2/3. A parallel line will have the same slope

y = mx + b
slope(m) = -2/3
(-4,-2)....x = -4 and y = -2
now sub and find b, the y int
-2 = -2/3(-4) + b
-2 = 8/3 + b
-2 - 8/3 = b
-6/3 - 8/3 = b
-14/3 = b

so ur parallel line equation is : y = -2/3x - 14/3...or 2x + 3y = -14
to find points on this line, sub in any number for x and solve for y

2x + 3y = -14...subbing in 2 for x
2(2) + 3y = -14
4 + 3y = -14
3y = -14 - 4
3y = -18
y = -18/3
y = -6.....so one point is (2,-6)
u can find other points the same way.

** another way u can do this is just by sight. The slope of line KL is -2/3. A parallel line will have the same slope. So start at M (-4,-2).....and since the slope we need is -2/3, go down 2 spaces and to the right 3.....u will land on (2,-6)...this is on the line......continue from there....go down 2 spaces and to the right 3 and u land on (8,-10)...that is a point on the line.
