The formula to calculate the probability is:

P=\frac{favorable\text{ cases}}{\text{total number of cases}}

In a deck of 52 cards, 52 is the total number of cases.

And since there are 13 diamond cards in a deck, 13 is the number of favorable cases.

Thus the probability of getting a diamond card is:

(13)/(52)

To complete the problem and complete the probability distribution, find the probability of not getting a diamond card:

-Because there are 13 diamond cards, 52-13 is the number of cards that are not diamond cards:

52-13=39

using again the probability formula, the probability of not getting a diamond card is:

(39)/(52)

Answer:

(13)/(52),(39)/(52)
