2/5=m/70
Use cross multiply
70*2=5*m
140=5m
Divided 5 to each side
140/5=5m/5
m=28
Check:
2/5=m/70
Substitute m with 28
2/5=28/70
2/5=4/10
2/5=2/5. As a result, m=28. Hope it help!

Answer: The required solution is m = 28.

Step-by-step explanation: We are given to solve the following equation :

(2)/(5)=(m)/(70)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(i)

We will be using the following rule of cross-multiplication :

(a)/(b)=(c)/(d)\\\\\\\Rightarrow a* d=c* b.

From equation (i), we have

(2)/(5)=(m)/(70)\\\\\\\Rightarrow 2*70=m* 5\\\\\Rightarrow 5m=140\\\\\Rightarrow m=(140)/(5)\\\\\Rightarrow m=28.

Thus, the required solution is m = 28.
