Why is nuclear energy considered non-renewable, yet is is not a fossil fuel?

because it uses uranium for fuel which is not a fossil and has a limited supply.
because it has a risk of radiation poisoning
because it is very expensive to build and operate nuclear power plants
because it does not contribute to global warming by putting out air pollution.

I believe the correct answer is the first option. Nuclear energy is not considered as a renewable energy eventhough uranium is can be found in many rocks in the world because the uranium that is used as fuel, U-235, cannot be found easily. It is a rare type.
