If you vertically stretch the exponential function f(x) = 2x by a factor of 3, what is the equation of the new function?

By stretching the exponential function vertically by 3, the new equation will become f(x) = 3(2x). By stretching the function, the value of y is multiplied by 3. For example the previous value of y, also f(x), will now be equal to 3f(x).
