The first step is becoming aware of your reactions to stress. Stress can emerge from both negative and positive events.

Stress can be a difficult thing to control or even understand. I think the most important thing to do when you find yourself stressed is to take a few steps back from whatever you're doing, take some deep breaths, and go on a walk/jog. Doing something physical to keep your mind off it can help tremendously.
