According to the line graph, from 1999-2007, the number of drug-induced deaths rose dramatically. The numbers for each year are, roughly, 20,000, 20,000, 20,000, 25,000, 25,000, 30,000, 35,000, 35,000, 40,000. What is the mean of these statistics?

This is actually a math question, but let's tackle it anyway!

First, we need to sum up all the numbers:
20,000, 20,000, 20,000, 25,000, 25,000, 30,000, 35,000, 35,000, 40,000

the sum of them is: 250 000

now, we need to know how many numbers there are: there are 9 numbers.

So we need to divide 250 000 by 9; it's 27777.77 - so this is the mean. It means that on average, 27777 people died from drugs a year during this time.
