A nurse is caring for a client with acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (aids). what precautions should the nurse take when caring for this client?

The nurse should wear gloves at all times when dealing with any fluids or blood. If the nurse accidentally sticks his or herself with a needle that was used on the patient, then the nurse should get checked for hiv/aids.
