4x - 3y = 22
2x + 8y = 30

Multiply the second equation by - 2

4x - 3y = 22
-2(2x + 8y = 30)
-----------------------

4x - 3y = 22
- 4x - 16y = - 60
----------------------------
- 19y = - 38
Divide both sides by - 19
y = 2
Plug 2 into either equation and solve for x.
2x + 8(2) = 30
2x + 16 = 30
subtract 16 from both sides
2x = 14
divide both sides by 2
x = 7
(7, 2)
